The House Raven Armigers are almost there! I’ve finished up the small details I wanted to such as the lenses and various edge highlights and also based them both to match my House Raven theme (Mars). All that will be left to do after this are the transfers to declare their allegiance.

I’ve decided to use the Martian Earth technical paint to help me with the basing – I’m a fan of the cracking that occurs when it drys and it fits well with House Raven‘s close affinity towards the Adeptus Mechanicus
The Base
Step 1: Chaos Black (Spray) Cover over the entire base.
Step 2: Tau Light Ochre or Skrag Brown (layer) Paint along the outer rim of the base
Step 3: Middenland Tufts (Basing Material) Apply various tufts or bits of grass to the base where you feel appropriate
Step 4: Martian Ironearth (Technical) Apply the technical paint liberally in certain places where you want more cracking to occur. Be careful around the feet or conversely you can let it creep up to add more realistic weathering to your model.
